Improve a Game Board based on Cultural Algorithms

چکیده
—Evolutionary computation is a generic term used to make reference to the solution of computational problems planned and implemented based on models of an evolutionary process. Most of the evolutionary algorithms propose biological paradigms, and the concepts of natural selection, mutation and reproduction. However, other paradigms that can be adopted in the creation of evolutionary algorithms exist. Many problems involve not structured environments that can be considered from the perspective of cultural paradigms; the cultural paradigms offer a wide range of categorized models that ignore the possible solutions to the problem,-a common situation in the real life-. The purpose of the present work is to apply the computational properties of the cultural technology; on this case, to corroborate them by means of data mining to propose the solution to a specific problem. The above mentioned, carrying out an adaptation from the perspective of the societies modeling. An environment to carry out tests of this type was developed to allow the learning on the not very conventional characteristics of a cultural technology. This environment is called Baharastar.

متن کاملImproving Vehicular Ad-Hoc Network Stability Using Meta-Heuristic Algorithms
Vehicular ad-hoc network (VANET) is an important component of intelligent transportation systems, in which vehicles are equipped with on-board computing and communication devices which enable vehicle-to-vehicle communication. Consequently, with regard to larger communication due to the greater number of vehicles, stability of connectivity would be a challenging problem. Clustering technique as ...

The paper introduces a case study on game journalistic practices and on the construction of historical self-understanding of game cultures. It presents results of the study of Finnish digital game reviews, retrieved from a major computer hobbyist magazine, MikroBitti. The results are based on a qualitative content analysis of 640 reviews from two magazine issues per year (1984–2010). The aim is...
متن کاملA Risk-averse Inventory-based Supply Chain Protection Problem with Adapted Stochastic Measures under Intentional Facility Disruptions: Decomposition and Hybrid Algorithms
Owing to rising intentional events, supply chain disruptions have been considered by setting up a game between two players, namely, a designer and an interdictor contesting on minimizing and maximizing total cost, respectively. The previous studies have found the equilibrium solution by taking transportation, penalty and restoration cost into account. To contribute further, we examine how incor...
